Customize your wedding hamper

After an early morning flight & few hours after you left home, you arrive at the destination to celebrate your friend’s wedding. As you enter your room, you see a beautiful wedding hamper packed with delicious goodies, and it lifts your spirits and gets you excited about exploring the content of the wedding hamper.

Yes, The first thing your guests will notice at your wedding is your wedding hamper, which in many ways sets the tone for your wedding!

Creating a well thought out, well-stocked wedding hamper  is a great way of telling them how much you appreciate their presence and how happy you are that they travelled to take part in your special day.

With destination weddings being a favourite among the to-be-weds, welcome hampers or in-room hampers are a must. The hamper can prove as a blessing when you provide them with something of relevance. Like some sunscreen for a beach wedding or T-shirts for a pool party. Moreover, the assortment of snacks will also give them something to munch on between events and keep them energised

A few things to remember while creating the perfect hamper

1. Decide the Budget

Munch on the the delicious goodies.

@Momente

Choosing a budget for your basket at the beginning is crucial because it is easy to get carried away when putting together yummy treats 😉 Try sourcing locally to avoid transportation costs. Figure out the best way to deliver the baskets that are convenient for you and the hotel. Ideally, the hampers should be placed in the rooms before guest check in.

2. Make it look good!

Presentation to hamper is the key

@Reels and Frames

A visually appealing and customised hamper stands out. You can choose from wicker baskets, tote bags, and even get personalised boxes. Make sure you keep your wedding hamper as light as possible so that the guest can carry it back with them as a souvenir of your wedding.

3. Be Creative

Be Creative while assembling your hamper

@Devon Jarvis

Play with the theme to customise an original container. You could get your initials engraved on a box. You could also print a one liner on the tote bag to make it more fun or use a colourful bag to sync it with the theme of your wedding.

Tote bag makes a great wedding hamper for a beach wedding. Including beach essentials such as sunglasses, sunscreen will be extremely useful. Likewise, if you are having your wedding in the countryside; use a wicker basket that the guest can re-use as a picnic basket.

You want to design something that the guests can use after the wedding. Whatever you create, it should be sturdy and spacious enough to hold all the things inside.

4. Keep it Local

Add a to do around the destination for your guest

To Do Around The City

Remember your guests are travelling from different places; so give them a taste of the local culture by adding such delicacies and souvenirs. Add a map or a pocket-sized travellers guide of the destination to help the guests enjoy the downtime. You can also recommend a few popular places to grab a quick bite, or the best place to shop is. This is helpful for the guests as they will not have to waste the little downtime they might get.

5. Knick Knacks

Add adequate amount of snacks and drinks in your hamper

Snacks and Drinks

Throw in a couple of bottles of beverages to keep your guests hydrated after a late night of partying and also to prevent them from raiding the mini bar.

Add a few snacks that they can munch on during the celebrations and use as a late night snack. Create some labels of your wedding logo and stick them on the hampers to make them more personal.

Moreover, remember – Choose items that don’t melt at room temperature!

6. Seasonal Specials

Add seasonal essentials in wedding hampers

Weddings in winter would be incomplete without a shawl as a summer wedding would be without a handheld fan. This will help keep your guests comfortable and will let them know that you have thought of their comfort. Lip balms and tea or coffee sachets can also be useful.  Similarly, umbrellas are great add-ons to combat rains or even the scorching heat.

Thank you note is a personalised touch in the hamper

Thanks You Note

7. The Wedding Itinerary

There will be multiple venues and locations for your wedding functions, and you do not want the guests getting lost and calling the front desk. Include a pocket-sized wedding itinerary along with the hamper, so it is easy to carry around. Add all the functions details on the schedule, such as the timings, dress code and the venues for the festivities. This information will help the guests navigate with ease.

8. Thank you note.

The wedding hamper serves as a thank you gift but adding a personalised letter to the basket to thank your guests is always a great idea. It shows them how grateful and happy you are to share your wedding day with them.

As you can see you can let your imagination run free while preparing a hamper to make them affordable and trendy, but always remember to add personal touches to it, and your guests will appreciate it.
